ATC Operations Regions have been defined to ensure that divisions are adequately supported by the main point of contact that is broadly local to the timezone in which the country resides. All HQ ATC Ops Staff will handle issues from any division (tickets, general messages, data validation, etc), the region advisor is merely the main point of contact for each division. Region Advisors are also responsible for ATC Operations in FIRs that do not have an associated active division within their respective regions.
