¶ Overview
This installation Setup is only available and working for the following simulators:
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
¶ Prerequisite

¶ Installation
¶ 1. Setup
Click next to continue
¶ 2. License Agreement
Click I Agree to accept the License Agreement
¶ 3. Install Location
The installer should auto-detect your MSFS install location.
Do not install it anywhere else
Directory empty? Browser to the
\Packagesfolder manually if the installer fails to detect it.
¶ 4. Components
Click Install to start the installation
¶ 5. Installing
Click Next when installation is completed
¶ 6. Installation Completed
Toggle on:
- Create Pilot UI and Pilot Core Desktop Shortcut
then Click Finish
In this version, MTL Library is not included. So if you want to experience additional traffic models and liveries, you will need to use the new MTL Installer. After Installation is complete you will be redirected to the MTL Website.
The first time that you launch the "IVAO Pilot Core", a dialogue box from the firewall may appear. Select according to your network settings.
¶ Installing MTLs (model matching)
MTL installation proceess is required in order to see other IVAO aircraft.
¶ 1. Download
Download the latest MTL installer from here
¶ 2. Extraction
Open the zip and extract IVAO MTL Installer.exe onto your Desktop.
We recommend to keep the installer and run it weekly to download newly added liveries.
¶ 3. Setup
- Run the
IVAO MTL Installer.exe - Click More Info
- Click Run anyway
The installer will self-update for future version. You no longer need to re-download any updated versions.
¶ 3. Installation
- Select MSFS
- Click Select
- Select the all checkbox
- Click Install
- Click OK once completed
¶ GOING ONLINE
- Start MSFS and spawn at a gate
- Pilot Core will automatically start and exit when the sim is started and closed. (located in the Tray bar)
- Open Pilot Client: Altitude via the desktop shortcut
- Make sure you file a flightplan at fpl.ivao.aero
- Click Offline with the same callsign from your flightplan
If you ever need to run the Pilot Core manually in case of failure please run it as Administrator.
¶ MSFS settings
¶ 1. In the Flight Conditions menu, set:
- Multiplayer OFF
- Air Traffic OFF
- Weather and Time LIVE
¶ 2. Traffic Settings
In General Options > Traffic
- Aircraft Traffic Type OFF
- Ground Aircraft Density 0
¶ 3. Graphic Settings
In General Options > Traffic
- Texture Resolution HIGH or ULTRA
¶ BUGS
It is important, that in case you found a bug or an issue, report it on the forum. In addition to this, once you report it, include your Simulator, Server, ATC Position or any other information. This will help us to identify the problem more quickly.
