End User Licence Agreement of IVAO Pilot Software
¶ IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This installation Setup is only available and working for the following simulators:
- Microsoft FS 2020
Please follow this guide, and in case you have any problems report it on the Forum.
We hope that these guidelines will provide clarity regarding the integration of the Simulator with Altitude.
¶ DOWNLOAD
For the integration of Altitude with the MSFS2020, you will need the download the MSFS2020 Altitude version that you will find below this link: https://www.ivao.aero/softdev/beta/altitudebeta.asp
Once downloaded, go ahead and extract the package.
Run the installer as Administrator (right-click -> Run as Administrator), continue with the installation.
¶ INSTALLATION
The installation of Altitude is as simple as before, however, we are going to describe the process just in case, you experience any technical issues.
IMPORTANT Reminder! Run the Installer as administrator.
Once you start the installer, you will be introduced to the installation process of Altitude for MSFS2020
Press Next to continue…
Press ‘I Agree to accept the License Agreement…
Browse to the MSFS2020 root directory and press Next…
Select the components to install…
NOTE: In this version we have included the MTL Library, so if you want to experience additional traffic models and liveries, you will need to select this component. By default, both of these components (Core Components + MTL Library) are selected.
Once you are ready, you can click on Install and the Software will start installing on your machine. The installer will download the MTL library with this installation process, and then just wait until finished (By default it will install the entire library)
Installation is in progress, wait for it to finish.
Once the installation is completed, just click on Next to complete the installation.
In addition to this, if you want to create the Pilot UI and Pilot Core Desktop Shortcuts, just tick the checkboxes.
We recommend to select the option to create both Shortcuts
The first time that you launch the "IVAO Pilot Core", a dialogue box from the firewall may appear. Select according to your network settings.
¶ RUNNING THE PROGRAM
Once you have everything installed, first open your Simulator, and then prepare your flight. After spawning at a gate or parking position, you can open the Connector (IVAO Pilot Core) with the shortcut that you have created during the installation (Please, Run As Administrator), it will appear at the Windows Taskbar, like in the screenshot below.
Once open, it will be the application that connects the Simulator + Altitude, so now you can start the Altitude Program (PilotUI). Make sure to not run the client with administrator privileges.
¶ AI Traffic (MTL)
In order to see AI Traffic in MSFS. You should download the MTL Library while installing Altitude.
Inside the simulator, make sure you have these options selected:
¶ BUGS
It is important, that in case you found a bug or an issue, report it on the forum. In addition to this, once you report it, include your Simulator, Server, ATC Position or any other information. This will help us to identify the problem more quickly.
