The connector software is the IVAO tool which enables to connect several clients by using only one IVAO connection.
The connector will be used to provide secondary view(s) (pilot, ATC) to the main view.
NOTE: pay attention that the secondary view can only display a limited range of the traffic in function of the position of the primary connection.
When you launch the connector application, you will find this window like the image below:
You can select the IVAO server in the connector application like the image below.:
Note: This server will be used for the primary connection only.
If there is any connection error, the connector application will display the error message like the image below:
When this error occurs, please verify the server connection or your login and password inserted in the primary connection.
The main use of the connector is to have the tower view with your simulator when connected with the IVAO ATC software.
The first connection to the IVAO connector will be the primary and active connection to the IVAO network. The chosen client shall connect the connector by inserting the computer Ip which runs the connector software:
Example: IVAO ATC Software Aurora connection window using callsign: IVAO-DM1.
Note: If the client and connector are run on the same computer, use the local Ip = 127.0.0.1
When the connection is successful the connector will display a blue connection message, above the server selection zone, stating: Connected to IVAO as <Callsign>
Example: primary connection callsign is IVAO-DM1
The second connection to the IVAO connector will be the secondary and non-active connection. The chosen client shall connect the connector by inserting the computer Ip which runs the connector software:
Example: IVAO Pilot Software Altitude Connection window using callsign: VAOTDAM.
When the connection is successful the connector will display a grey connection message, below the server selection zone, stating: Secondary connection : <Callsign>
Example: Secondary connection callsign is VAOTDAM
Note: secondary clients cannot have an effect on the network (like edit strip, send position)
You can connect to the IVAO connector as many secondary non-active connections with any allowed IVAO client (there is no limitation):
Example: Secondary connection callsigns are VAOTDAM and IVAO-SRTA22.
