Once the flight formalities have been completed, pilots of all aircraft, except for VFR domestic flights, are required to contact Phuket Delivery Control on frequency 118.55 MHz, 5 minutes prior to starting their engines, in order to request ATC clearance.
In order to provide a more flexible ground traffic movement all domestic departures shall on longer be required to be ready to taxi
within 5 minutes after clearance received.
In the event of reduced traffic for departures and arrivals at Phuket International Airport, if runway 09 is being utilized, the controller has the option to issue shortcuts for arriving aircraft, subject to traffic conditions and permissions, along the following routes:
Aircraft arriving on MONBU1C, ONETI1C or SAVSA1C can expect shortcut from the MILAN direct to LAZAM.
Aircraft arriving on EMRIT1C, EPGOT1C or URGAD1C can expect shortcut from the JUVEY direct to LAZAM.
