Description: Responsible for ATC Operations, Scheduling and Procedures in the division
Divisional ATC Operations Advisor (AOA)
- Collaborating in tasks and projects that correspond to ATC operations with respect to air traffic flow management by controlling the opening and closing of ATC positions; the design of airspace sectorisation and air traffic control restrictions (FRA), NOTAMs, etc.
- Maintaining the ATC data within their division. Ensuring that all the data is kept up to date.
- Maintaining and ensuring that the divisional ATC Operations Database is up to date:
- Ensuring that airport and area information is up to date and correct.
- Maintaining the FRA list in accordance with the issued guidelines and also the needs of the division.
- Maintaining the division's antenna lists so that the network can accurately simulate VHF transmissions.
- Maintaining the depictions of the airspace that is displayed on Webeye. Ensuring that the shapes are correct and uploaded to the database.
- Publishing and maintaining documentation related to ATC operations within the division:
- Creating, updating and uploading detailed local procedures for area positions and aerodrome positions.
- Coordinating with neighbouring divisions regarding the Letters of Agreements between FIRs.
- Creating and maintaining quick reference material for controllers.
- Creating and maintaining other documentation which is pertinent to ATC operations in the division. E.g. Getting Started guides.
- Ensuring that the divisional sector files are developed and updated for every AIRAC cycle.
- Compiling ATC Rosters in conjunction with divisional Events Departments:
- Receiving requests from users to control positions for events.
- Compiling ATC rosters based on those wishing to control in a timely manner.
- Receiving and advertising ATC requests from external divisions which will be utilising their divisions for support.
