Line Manager: Events Director (ED) and Assistant Director (EAD)
Description: The Events Assistants are responsible for assisting the Events Director and Assistant Director with event related matters in both departmental and divisional levels on the network.
- Assisting the divisional Events department staff members for all Events related matters.
- Each EA is responsible for closely monitoring their assigned regions/divisions. This includes:
- Activity
- Past and future events
- Event posts which are posted on the IVAO Forum
- Ensuring that divisions are well informed about the published procedures and circulars.
- Manage and coordinate IVAO HQ Events.
- Ensure that the IVAO HQ Events are booked on the HQ Events Calendar well in advance.
- Ensure that the coordination between fellow departments is done to ensure the smooth running of the HQ Events. This includes:
- HQ Flight Operations.
- HQ ATC Operations.
- HQ Public Relations.
- Divisional Staff (if required)
- Managing and keeping a track of divisional events bookings on the IVAO Events Calendar.
- Events Support Award validations and queries.
- Ensuring that the Events Support Award website is regularly checked for new reports from members.
- Answering queries regarding the Events Support Award from users via email. Approving/Denying of Events Support Award requests from divisions.
- Issuing of Awards relating to the Events Department.
- Ensuring that the Events Support Award website is regularly checked for new award requests from users.
- OTRS Ticket System Management.
- Regularly checking the OTRS system and our IVAO inboxes to ensure that users are given a timely response regarding queries, requests or reports.
- Ensuring that users are regularly communicated in regards to a process, if required.
