¶ Events Director and Assistant Director Job Description
Line Manager: Executive Director for Activity Services (EXDA) and Executive Assistant for Activity Services (EXAA)
Description: The Events Director and Assistant Director are responsible for all event related matters in both departmental and divisional levels on the network.
- Innovate and develop new event ideas and concepts at HQ Level, along with other Events department staff members.
- Supervise and assist Events Department staff members relating to Events Department matters.
- Monitor the HQ Events Department’s: activity, upcoming events, forum posts and projects.
- Ensure divisions follow our published Events procedures and circulars.
- Define, approve, and regulate IVAO Events.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the Events Department’s Rules, Regulations policies, procedures, and guidelines and propose suggestions, changes and amendments to Activity Services where necessary.
- Define and plan the HQ Events Calendar.
- Coordinate with adjacent departments at HQ level where necessary.
- Regularly check the IVAO HQE system for pending reports to ensure that EAs are validating reports promptly.
- Regularly check the OTRS system and IVAO inbox to ensure the Events Department offers good communication and prompt replies.
- Provide proposals to improve the Events Department’s systems to, and in collaboration with, Development Operations.
- Strive to increase activity in inactive divisions by seeking local users to participate in events.
- Ensure implementation of the Strategy Document items for the Events Department.
- Ensure divisions are informed about the Events Department’s strategy.
- Maintaining and searching for new third-party sponsors and partners by working together with the PRO/APRO.
