Line Manager: Public Relations Director (PRD)/Public Relations Assistant Director (PRAD)
Description: Managing and leading the Social Media Team.
Social Media Manager (SMM) responsibilities and duties:
- Liaise and coordinate with the other managers within the HQ Public Relations to ensure an efficient experience for IVAO members where necessary.
- Coordinate the need of additional team members with the Line Manager(s).
- Receive, sift and interview candidates for the role of the Social Media (SMx) team.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of the team's members and report to the Line Manager(s).
- Create dialogue and discuss with ineffective members of the teams about their performance.
- Coordinate the removal of a team member where they have not positively adjusted to written communication from the Team Manager and/or Line Manager(s).
- Communicate ideas or new possibilities to your Line Manager(s) where IVAO can offer a better experience to its community through social media.
- Responsible for creation and approval of divisional social media accounts.
- Responsible for regular SEO reports and optimisation to the Line Manager(s), as well as a SEO oriented strategy for the team.
- Provide feedback on the team’s work and provide approval (together with the Line Manager(s), if necessary).
- Coordinate upcoming projects and distribute them fairly amongst different team members.
- Receive advice from the Social Media team and activate IVAO’s profile on new social media platforms.
- Attend, as necessary, Public Relations meetings as a representative of your teams.
