The Training Documentation Team consists of one Training Documentation Manager (TDM) and Training Documentation Advisors (TDA). The Documentation Team is responsible for creating, updating and maintaining the IVAO Training Documentation Library.
This activity implies the creation of new virtual aviation-related training documentation, intended to cover all areas in the broadest possible sense, to serve IVAO users, both pilots and ATCs, in their theoretical training needs whilst supporting practical training and exams preparation. This activity is structured for educational purposes.
Sources of information are checked to be applicable to the IVAO Network. These sources may include aviation law, rules & regulations, guidelines, procedures, operating manuals, and handbooks from both official and virtual aviation-related bodies. (e.g. ICAO, FAA, EASA, IATA, IVAO, Aircraft Manufacturers, etc.).
This covers the reading and checking if all documents of the library are free of grammatical, typing and/or wording errors, whilst written in clear and flawless English and complying with the IVAO Branding standards.
Furthermore, correcting and/or updating all virtual aviation-related content of IVAO Training Documentation Library is part of this activity. Corrections and/or updates shall be based upon the latest available versions of real-life official and virtual aviation related articles, documents, instructions and operating manuals.
A changelog document and a documentation wikimedia online spreadsheet will be maintained to administer and track any modifications.
This activity involves reviewing and uploading the MCQ's, provided by the Senior Training Advisors (SRTAs), to the IVAO Theoretical Exams Database. This includes ensuring MCQ's are free of grammatical, typing and/or wording errors whilst always linked to a document in the IVAO Training Documentation Library. If this is not the case, correct the proposed questions or create/update the relative Training Documentation.
This activity implies collecting and responding to requests from users, as well as from staff members, regardless the department.
Users and staff members are able to make requests for corrections on the content of the documentation or regarding topics not yet covered by the IVAO Training Documentation Library. The Training Documentation Team will respond in the shortest possible time and process the request as appropriate in coordination with the TD/TAD.
Upon division mentors request, the Training Documentation Team will assist divisions to develop their own documentation (eg. local procedures, local ICAO differences and etc).
The responsibilities of the Training Documentation Manager (TDM) are:
