Q: I cannot run Aurora ATC software or its installer?
A: Check first if the Aurora installer and the Aurora ATC software are compatible with your operating system. There exists one 64 bit version which cannot be run under 32bit operating systems.
Q: I want to upgrade the Aurora, do I need to download the software again?
A: No, Run Aurora and automatic update will be performed during the first minutes. If an update is finished to download, Aurora will invite you to restart for the new version.
Q: Is it possible to install an older version of the Aurora?
A: No, after you open the client, it will automatically update itself to the newest version.
Q: This ATC station is forbidden for service.
A: This is not a problem with the software but due to these positions missing from the database. As some of these positions have no division please contact IVAO HQ ATC Ops Department via atcops@ivao.aero or your division’s ATC Operations Department for further assistance.
Q: I am unable to connect to a ATC station in my division.
A: Check your division facility rating assignment to ensure you have the correct rating for the position.
It is also possible that the position is not in the database. For more information and if you believe there is an issue please contact your divisions ATC operations department.

Q: I have no sector file of my preferred airfield. What can I do?
A: If your preferred airfield is inside a division, contact ATC Operations Coordinator or Division HQ in order to have a road map of the availability of your airfield.

Q: I have made my own sector file in Aurora and I want to share it with IVAO. What is the procedure?
A: Aurora Sector file definition and strategy are the responsibility of the IVAO Division ATC Operations Staff, you cannot submit it yourself to IVAO without staff approval.
If your sector is defined in an area where a division exists, you shall contact Division ATC Operations Coordinator or Division HQ.

Q: Can we modify the VOR, NDB and Fixes that we don't want to see onto the display?

A: If you do not see any labels, they might not be inserted on the sector file. Please contact the ATC Operations Staff of your division for technical answers about sector files. Make sure you have GTS and TXI selected from the pref bar.
Q: Is there any possibility for us to remove a flight from the flight list?
A: No, it is not possible.
Q: Alias like IvAc 1
A: Aurora provides CPDLC capabilities with a variety of text messages inside. Therefore, we suggest going through the manual of Aurora and the client to see what these text messages are. In addition, there is a capability to add some extra text messages. If a user does not have the capability to use the CPDLC you can still send a message to him through the data-link.
Q: Reset Zoom on Inset
A: Press F2 to return back to the zoom level where you used to be.
Q: ATIS Letter Modification
A: The letter is automated. Starting with 'A' with the first ATIS.
Like in real life any changes in ATIS will increase the letter :
You cannot set your letter yourself. It shall start with A.

A: No, VID and Password are not stored on the profile, you can share your profiles with other members without problems.

Q: My antivirus blocks Aurora, why is this happening?
A: It is because of the compression of the executable, ignore it or add it to the trust list if your antivirus allows it, and you will be able to use it without problems.
Q: Every time I open Aurora, my personalizations are gone and I have to make it again, can I save them?
A: Yes, you can save all your personal settings into a profile by pressing “F4” when connected to the network.
Q: Sector File is not loading properly after Aurora update
A: Try deleting manually by navigating Aurora folder location->sector files->delete “XXXX.isc”->Include->delete folder “XXXX”. Replace XXXX with your FIR.
Q: Aurora is showing “X” instead of a normal dot
A: The Pilot/ATC Connection is lost and Aurora is trying to reconnect for 90 seconds.
Q: 4K / UHD resolution issues
A: Check the magnification of the Windows Display. There is a setting to change UI text size that may help.
Q: Problems after the update of Aurora
A: You will need to uninstall and install Aurora again. It is recommended to keep in a safe place your Profiles and Sector files folders.
Q: Insets are unavailable (Aurora 32bits)
A: Due to the limited RAM available on 32bit, the number of insets is available depends on the size of the sector file.
Q: Aircraft route is not shown on Aurora
A: There could be a few reasons for the Aircraft route to not show up:
1- There could be a problem with the sector file you’re using. You must specify waypoint names and not coordinates. We recommend you to contact your division’s ATC Operations department regarding the problem.
2- If you’re trying to display route pressing the TAB button while the COMBOX is ON. Make sure “Focus combox” is set to NO in PVD>SETTINGS>OTHER
3- AIRAC of your sectorfile or the pilot’s route might be outdated.
If none of these fit your situation, get in contact with Support Staff from our Forums.
Q: Aurora is ignoring key shortcuts (TAB, F8, etc.)
A: Make sure to set “Focus combox” to “No” in the settings.
Q: I can’t see some traffics which are on the ground

Q: QDM is not functional when using map rotation
A: This is intentional because the map rotation feature is meant for ground radar, there is no use for QDM on ground. Thus, QDM is disabled when the map is rotated.
Q: Aurora does not create voice channel
A: Please double click the “Wifi (wedge) icon” on the VHF box, next to the Headphones icon. This will try to reconnect you to the server and create a new channel.
Q: Aurora does not accept my VID/Password
A: Make sure to use your IVAN password and try to copy-paste your password to Aurora, instead of typing it manually.
Q: I cannot assign “ALT” or “ALT GR” keys as Push to Talk key
