Controllers shall be trained and checked out on one of the three MUAC sector groups and with this permission must only control within the sectors that they have been trained for. Controllers can apply for additional approval to control other sectors but may be required to undertake training to gain such an approval. The only exception to this is the EDYY_HCS sector which may be controlled by members of the DE division without a validation according to the divisions requirements for controlling CTR positions.
For training requests please contact directly with the division covering your desired sector.
GCAs are not issued to controllers who are MUAC Validated. Instead a list of approved controllers is generated here.
In order to ensure that training for the control of MUAC is distributed fairly, the following order of priority shall be applied to the list of controllers who are awaiting training:

Controllers shall complete three modules of training as part of their training as MUAC controllers.

Flights flown for MUAC training sessions and checkouts are eligible for points toward the Pilot Support Award. To request points, file your leg on the MODA System, selecting “HQ” as the division.
