Welcome to the 'Newbie Tour'.
It is recommended to use one of the default basic aircraft whilst learning, such as the Cessna 152 or 172. The less buttons to press the better!
To help out with VFR flying we recommend the use of Little Nav Map. Software like this can help you plan your route and aid you if you are struggling to locate visual reference points.
Whilst learning, we recommend switching off real world weather conditions and using daylight, clear and dry weather to maintain good visibility. After all there is no point trying to learn visual flight rules when you're stuck in a cloud with winds that would be out of limits.
The base airport for the Newie Tour will be Blackpool (EGNH) and for the purpose of the tour we will always assume runway 28 is the active. (There will be no wind factor with real world weather switched off). Circuits at Blackpool are flown north of the field, so from runway 28 this is right hand.
Information on how to file a flight plan on the network can be found here.
