This document sets out the process for creating a new Division within IVAO. It does not supersede Network Regulations but will elaborate certain points to provide a better understanding of what is expected or required.
There are two (2) types of Divisions that can be created, which are the following:
In order to request a new Division, the following staff positions require to be nominated and fulfilled by at least three (3) different members:
The proposed candidates should hold, at a minimum, the rating requirements established in Regulation X.2.3.
According to Regulation X.7.1.3, to commence the creation of a new Division, the nominated Director, with the assistance of their other staff candidates, is required to prepare a proposal to be presented to the Executive Council. This proposal must be in the form of a PDF document and shall include, but not be limited to, the following points:
Try to give as many details as possible while elaborating the proposal. It should be delivered to the Executive Council through email: executive@ivao.aero. Once the proposal has been delivered, the Executive Council will review and decide based on a full assessment of the presented proposal. A meeting with the prospective Director might be required.
In case the resolution is affirmative, the Division creation process will start with the elaboration of a website in compliance with the required content as per Regulation X.8.1.1.
Following the delivery of the website proposal, and with the Executive Council’s approval, a direct communication channel will be established on Discord with the Executive Council and the HQ Department Directors who will assist during the remaining steps of the process and execute the required actions for its creation.
