The HQ Training Department is responsible to establish and maintain a complete educational environment providing the adequate infrastructure for members to improve and share multidisciplinary knowledge whilst following a continuous and dynamic career progression on the network.
- Establish and issue mandatory requirements and procedures for all network exams including content, briefing guides, evaluation standards and sheets.
- Validate theoretical and practical exams after evaluation.
- Evaluate exams which belong to HQ Training Department.
- Develop and maintain the IVAO Training Documentation Library based on the ICAO and/or FAA standards.
- Issue training staff circulars which include advice and procedures for the divisional training staff.
- Issue internal training memos for the senior training staff.
- Issue NOTAMs for all members containing rules, restrictions or special procedures for training and/or exams.
- Approve or deny any alterations requested by divisions with respect to training and/or exams.
- Supervise training activities of all active divisions and its compliance with the network standards.
- Monitor exams if deemed necessary.
- Advise divisions if any changes are applicable on their training sections of the divisional website or other publications.
- Approve qualified examiners.
- Assist the foundation of new divisions and participate in the approval procedure performed by the Executive Council.
- Set up a rating transfer procedure from real life licenses or other networks ratings to its equivalences on the IVAO career.
- Analyse, approve or deny rating transfer requests.
- Suspend members for requesting exams if deemed necessary.
- Supervise and follow up the Guest Controller Approval (GCA) system and approve participating divisions proposals.
- Manage the HQ Training Department human resources under supervision approval of the Executive Council.
- Update and maintain the currently existing training databases.
- Administrate all HQ Pilots Group activities and procedures.
The HQ Training Department is structured by 3 (three) different teams.
